ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP - Active membership may be granted to those who are licensed to practice medicine and surgery in New Mexico.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - Associate Membership may be granted to those osteopathic physicians licensed to practice medicine and surgery in New Mexico. This includes physicians in private practice, in the Association of Military Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons, Public Health Service and the Indian Health Service. These physicians must be in good standing with the state's association.
RETIRED MEMBERSHIP - A Retired Membership status may be granted at the discretion of the Board of Trustees to such persons who have completely disassociated themselves from a regular practice of medicine and surgery as an osteopathic physician, with the exception of those physicians in administrative positions.
LIFE MEMBERSHIP - A Life Membership may be granted by the Board of Directors to those osteopathic physicians who have had 25 years of active membership in the new Mexico Osteopathic Medical Association.
STUDENT MEMBERSHIP - A Student Membership is granted to an osteopathic medical student while attending the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. Osteopathic medical students from other colleges may apply and be granted membership on a case-by-case basis.RESIDENT MEMBERSHIP - A Resident Membership is granted to an osteopathic medical Resident while participating in a New Mexico Resident Program. Osteopathic medical Residence from other State may apply and be granted membership on a case-by-case basis.
